Charges reduced from a B Felony to a Violation

Our client was arrested and charged with a drug sale in Staten island.  He was in a car with a friend when members of Staten Island Narcotics pulled them over. A detective claimed he saw our client while inside a moving car receive money from and hand drugs to the driver of the car.  Our client was charged with B Felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and  B Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and faced significant jail time.

We were able to convince the Richmond County District Attorney's office to reduce the charges all the way down to Disorderly Conduct, which is only a violation and not a crime.
