Today we represented a young
man arrested and charged in Richmond County with driving under the influence of
marijuana (DWI or DUI) VTL section 1192.4 and possession of marijuana
Penal Law section 221.05. His license was suspended at arraignment and
his prior counsel was unable to convince the Judge to stay the license
suspension.
We were able to successfully
negotiate a plea bargain to disorderly conduct, a violation, which is less than
a crime. Now his license will be restored and he was not convicted of any
drunk driving or drug offense at all!
